That's Life Learning (unschooling) for you!
Bummer... one of Nora's kittens died yesterday. The boys took it really well. It prompted a lot of discussion on life and death. As well, discussions of owning things versus loving things became a central theme for yesterday. And that led to talking about being conscious of our actions (words and thoughts also) and how they effect other people.
That's a pretty big concept for most adults to get...I think that maybe it is easier to learn how as children, and just grow up living consciously. How often do you actually think about something BEFORE you say it? Do you always think about your actions BEFORE you act? Or do you find yourself sometimes wondering why you did that, or regretting saying that?
I love teaching to the moment!
